I am now itching to get my hands on Bluebear. Good children's books for adults (am thinking Harry Potter here)are a wonderful way to take the edge off boring, everyday reality. This question is a real stretch, but I'm just hoping that once upon a time you read a book about a traveling story teller with a donkey or mule (possibly named Tinker) who carried a crystal on her back.
